As part of its mission to serve the visually impaired, the Club collects used eyeglasses through direct donations and a drop box in McHenry. Periodically, the Club packages and ships the collected eyeglasses to the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center in Arlington, VA. Here, the glasses are cleaned, sorted and then distributed through the US and worldwide to the visually impaired in need.
Those who would like to give glasses can drop them in the collection box at the Shop N Save plaza in McHenry or contact the Club at 323 325-5466 or DCLLLIONS@gmail.com to coordinate the donation.
