Deep Creek Lake Lions 101 - a one-page summary of our Club's mission, organization, service projects and fundraisers
Our main service programs:
- Blind Skiers: for over 50 years we have helped visually impaired youth learn to downhill ski
- Blind Campers: we provide an outdoor recreation experience every summer for visually impaired Youth and their families
- McHenry Community Park: we manage and operate the community park at 1249 Bumblebee Road
Our main fundraisers:
- Boat Auction: we auction boats and other recreational gear that have been donated to the club (and by the way those donations are tax deductible!)
- Boat Parade: participants decorate their boats and spectators "vote" for their favorite boats with donations to the club
Our Organization: The Deep Creek Lake Lions Club is an affiliate of Lions Club International (LCI), the largest service organization in the world. We are part of District 22W of LCI. Most of our day-to-day activities are executed through the Deep Creek Lake Lions Club (EIN 52-1123114) and we also maintain the Deep Creek Lake Lions Foundation (EIN 82-3096245) which is a 501(c)3 non-profit and can accept tax-deductible donations.
